MAR63 System

MAR63 Aquatech – Fire Suppression System with Manual Activation

MAR63 System Overview

MAR63 Aquatech is a total-flooding water mist system designed to protect rooms with a volume of up to 63 m³. It can be activated manually (mechanically or electrically) as well as automatically.

Aquatech® is capable of extinguishing the most severe fires by generating a turbulent flow of fine, directional water droplets from dedicated nozzles.

Microscopic water droplets produced by water mist fire prevention systems turn into steam before reaching the fire. The steam expands and displaces oxygen in the immediate area of the flame, effectively suffocating the fire.

Oxygen displacement occurs only in the direct vicinity of the fire source. In other areas, oxygen levels remain unchanged, allowing people in the room to breathe normally. In addition, the rapid phase change from water to steam absorbs significant heat and causes a sharp temperature drop, helping prevent fire spread.

Micro-droplets also absorb water-soluble gases and vapors on their way to the fire. As the droplets become heavier, they settle downward—improving conditions for evacuation and increasing survivability by enhancing breathable air quality.

MANUAL ACTIVATION

WATER MIST

Water mist fire suppression systems are 100% environmentally friendly solutions that use water mist, designed to reduce water consumption, environmental impact, as well as the time required for extinguishing and post-fire cleanup.

Aquatech®: The Power of a Water Droplet

Aquatech® is our innovative water mist system that intelligently leverages the exceptional extinguishing capability of the most natural agent available: water.

The Aquatech® water mist system applies the same methodology as conventional sprinkler systems, while significantly increasing performance. Thanks to an advanced water atomization process, the system achieves peak extinguishing power. To the human eye, the discharged water appears as a very fine mist, as individual droplets are broken down into millions of much smaller particles (with a diameter of less than 50 microns).

Advanced Aquatech® nozzle technology—among the smallest on the market—enables high-velocity delivery of atomized water directly to the fire source, even in the presence of people. As a result, water consumption is drastically reduced (by approximately 90% compared to traditional systems), renovation time is shortened, and environmental damage is minimized.

KEY BENEFITS OF THE EXTINGUISHING AGENT

  • intelligent use of water (~90% less than traditional systems),

  • no need to seal the room,

  • reduced damage to structures and surroundings,

  • completely safe for the environment and people,

  • improved visibility during discharge,

  • absorbs heat and reduces fire size,

  • no disposal costs for the extinguishing agent,

  • zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential),

  • zero GWP (Global Warming Potential).

Applicable Fire Classes

Water mist can be used for the following fire classes:

Class A – combustible solids (flaming fires)

Class B – flammable liquids

Class C – flammable gases
